BBQ School Field Trip

Dear Friend,

How are you? I hope you're doing well.

I'll update a little on the what I did after my midterm tests. Remember when I said our school had a barbecue excursion to this park at Chiba prefecture? It's located at this station called, Kasai Rinkai Park(葛西臨海公園).  The park is really really big. The weather that day was pretty alright though the sun is very strong. With the awesome wind and sunny weather, it's perfect for a hangout in the outdoors!

There is also a Ferris Wheel, Aquarium and a few other attractions at the park, so you can imagine how big it is.

I forgot to bring my camera out though I reminded myself so many times to bring it along. I had to take it with my cellphone camera.

Since it is spring, there is also many beautiful flowers blooming! It's a really pretty sight. I never really understood about spring nor like spring. But now I know how it pretty spring can be! It's not just about Sakura, it's like a new beginning, like how all the trees and flowers starts to bloom and grow their leaves again.  I suppose that's why new school term starts during Spring in April.

In between the barbecue session, I went off alone to this beach like place where the sea breeze is just amazing. I really like the sitting by the beach looking at the sea and clear sky and enjoying the sea breeze. I think it's really relaxing. I don't get to do it before, but I'll grab all my chances to go to the beach and sit there to relax and enjoy life! haha.

Well, no photos of us barbecuing because I was too busy eating.  Knowing me, food comes first more than anything. In the morning my mood wasn't the best because I need my quiet mornings. I went to take a walk around to chill for a bit. Some people may probably think I'm weird or I'm not feeling well, but I just want some peace and quiet, that's all. I did get most of it after taking short walks by myself then gradually my mood starts picking up and I'm good to go! It all started when we we're cleaning up and heading off to the Aquarium as a class because we still had time to spare until we're free to go.

We all found this really cute head wear thingy so we all played with it and took photos while waiting for our teachers to help us get tickets with student prices! Woo! It's great to be a student again. Like a full time student!! I'm anticipating to be a university student, but before that I will need to work hard and study for the entrance exams.

As much as I like eating Tuna Sushi, I've never seen one up close! I finally saw huge and alive tunas! The kid looking at the tuna is really cute as well. Haha. I got to see penguins as well! But I didn't bring my camera and my iphone camera isn't good enough so it didn't turn out that good. But yes, the penguins are simply adorable! So fat and chubby. I want to squeeze them!

Afterwards, we're free to roam around at our own pace since "class" is over. We went to explore abit around the aquarium and walked around the park doing really stupid things. I haven't had so much fun since I don't know when. But it's just really simple hanging out at the park. It's really simple and satisfying. :)

I guess the most important thing is that we need to be with the same crowd. I believe I found my crowd here. I don't want to imagine the day when we graduate. I hate departures and separations, it's just so sad. It's the harsh and sad reality which I hate. Every time when I find a comfort zone where I can slow down my pace a little, reality just hits me and ask me to move forward again.

I'll write again soon. I got to prepare for school now.

I wish you well.

Summer is coming!

9th of May 2013

Dear Friend,

Good day to you. Weather is slowly getting warmer! Signs of summer coming! Time to head to the beach and have barbecue outings! I'm just kidding. I'm not really an out in the sun person because I get sunburn so easily, you have no idea.  I still prefer my hair like this because I feel more comfortable in it. I can do sweet or even funky style with this. When will I really change my hairstyle I wonder.. haha.

Just finished one of my slightly bigger test a few days back on the 9th of May. I'm so glad that it's over because it's my weakest of all. My teacher keep asking if I studied for it since a week ago. That's mental torture I tell you! I think my teacher is on to me...

I've never been a teachers pet but usually my teachers would pay alot of attention on me when it comes to Kanji. Even when in Chinese lessons during primary school and secondary school. I wonder why... I mean, probably I have the face that I can do it but you know, I'm really not that smart or hardworking. Perhaps on other things I would be. Ha! But yes, this current form teacher of mine reminds me of my Chinese teacher for all 4 years of my Secondary School life. I don't deny I do get special privileges as to hand in my homework late. LOL. He even tries his best to even explain it in English for me. But his English is really bad though.

But you know, now I'm actually picking up 2 languages instead of just 1. At least, it feels like, because I'm conversing in Chinese with my classmates, so it's kind of like a recap for me. But I'm learning so many new Chinese words I have never heard of when I was young. Craziest thing is that I'm even picking up their accent. Even my friends back home are complaining about it. But hey, losers can't be choosers now, can they? But telling my classmates that, they are saying that it's good because that shows that my Chinese is improving. But well, I do admit it's improving! Haha. Text me in Chinese and I can reply it back in chinese as well. lol.

Yeah, it's awesome to be trilingual, soon. Lol. Now, I'm pretty much just multilingual. Bah~ Better than nothing.

I realize, I've been eating a lot recently. I gotta watch my diet. I think I grew fat, like a total of 1kg. But you know, 1kg for me is like quite a lot because it shows on my face really quickly. Oh dear, I need to get up early in the morning and start my running routines now.

I went for dinner with my classmates again today. Yay we had chinese food again. Oh boy how much I love chinese food. Oh and we also went to this supermarket that sells chinese food imports. How cool is that?! I didn't even know any of that existed in Japan! haha. Really cool!!

I also went to the bookshop after dinner to pick up EJU examination books and a new english novel for my English needs. There is much selections but it will do. Better than not having a single English book! Talk about nerd mode, I'm really getting into it aren't i? Haha!

Alright, the weather is really warm today. I shall go for a shower now to cool myself down. I'm dying from the heat. What will actually happen during the actual summer season?! I manage to do this for my whole life until now, I should be able to do it just for another few months too!

I'll write again soon. I wish you well.

End of Golden Week

Dear Friend,

I hope you are doing well.

Golden Week holiday has finally come to an end. Yesterday I spent the whole day studying and doing up my notes. I got distracted in between so my pace was pretty slow though. But at least I got a bit of things done so it's not that bad.

Let's rewind back to Saturday, on the 4th of May.

Remember when I said I was feeling blah on that day? I asked my classmates out to chill with me to play darts and have lunch. I have the tendency of wanting to spend when I'm in a blah mood so I try to not let my emotions run.

So, I asked two of my classmates out to Ikebukuro because I wanted to dine at Denny's. It's a restaurant that serves western mix japanese cuisine food. I ended up having omelette rice with vegetables on the side. I was basically having a huge serving for my late lunch. I also have the tendency to want to eat a lot when I'm feeling blah.

Omurice with vegetables as sides.

After we had our lunch, we chilled a little and went off to "Round 1" to play Darts because I wanted to play darts. Round 1 is basically a place where there is arcade, darts, billiard, karaoke, bowling, etc. There is quite a few in Tokyo.

If you're interested, you can go to this link : http://www.round1.co.jp/

However you'll need to know Japanese to be able to navigate around the site because it's all in Japanese.

Anyways, moving on..
There were tons of people at the place. Mainly because it's the golden week holidays so basically everyone is on holiday. We had to wait for about 1 hour before we can have our turn at playing darts. I wasn't on form that day, but well I did manage to get a double bulls eye during one of the rounds we had! I even had a cup of beer with my friend because I just felt like I need a drink. Haha.

Then we got bored and one of them wanted to play Pool, so we switched over and played pool after an hour and a half of darts. It was nice getting to play pool again because it brings back memories! I mean, how long is it since I played pool? I'm not good at it back then, I'm still not good at it now though. Haha.

Then we went off to this place at Chinese resturant at the North exit from the Ikebukuro station. I had Chinese food again.  This is one of the dishes he ordered. Oh so Yummilicious!

Stir fried Beef with green pepper

I don't know how many times have I had Chinese food for the past 1 month. This time, my guy buddies were nice enough to give me a treat as well! So basically, free  Chinese food for dinner!! Whoopie! They are really nice, I don't even know how can I ever repay them back. I got to think of a way to repay them. They are both like an older brother to me though it should really be the opposite.... =/

I know I've been posting too many photos of food. But you know, I think my appetite has grown ever since I started staying here so I'm not sure if I've grown fatter. I think I grew fatter though. I'm not sure.. Or maybe it's because of school that's making me feel like eating more to de-stress. But then again, I'm not that stressed as of yet. I was pretty stressed out a few weeks ago because I had so many things to juggle. But I'm not good at handling stress so in order to lighten my load, I would sacrifice the thing that I don't need the most.

But yes, I'm having tests everyday but those are small ones. I have a major test coming up in the mid of may then it's school excursion! This time, the school excursion is having a barbecue session at this park, where I have no idea where it is. lol.

Hello.
4/5/2013

This was the hairstyle I did when I went out that day. My fringe has been irritating me so I've been going out with my hair clipped to the side. I'm not sure this suits me but well I'm bored of my previous fringe anyways.

I shall go and do up my notes and study a little for my test tomorrow. Test after test.. when will all this ever end?!

I wish you well. Will write again..

28/04 Odaiba.

Dear Friend,

I hope you're doing fine. It has been awhile since I wrote. I've been busy with test and revising for them. This is is suppose to be golden week, so we had a longer weekend holiday last week. This week, we're having another 4 days worth of holiday which is really awesome. Finally, a break from school and all of the tests!

A few days back, I decided to try a new hair style which looks like this. It's really totally different from how my usual hair looks like. I'm thinking of going like this permanent since I don't want to be fussing about my fringe and I can let it grow longer. What do you think?

30.04.2013

Last weekend, on a Sunday, I also went out to Odaiba with my classmates. Remember when I said I got their contacts previously after our "all-you-can-eat" Yakiniku session? Yeah, one of them planned another an outing Odaiba. I've only been to Odaiba once for a short while so I didn't walk down a lot of places. This time, I really got the chance to do more exploring.

Since it was the weekend, there were tons of people in Odaiba. During lunch time, everywhere was packed with people. We had a hard time to look for places to have our lunch so we decided to join the crowd to queue up at one of the Chinese Cuisine restaurant. Eating fried rice and mapo tofu for lunch really helped with my craving. I'm craving for chinese food for quite some time now. Just thinking about it makes me hungry!

I almost forgot, I also went to a live house on Saturday. It has been awhile since I went. But I really enjoyed myself because I got to see two bands at once. One of them were shocked that I sent in to reserve my ticket though. But then he remembered that I said I'll be here in Japan from April onwards. I wanted to talk to him more though, but I always didn't get the chance to, but I hope I get to next time. I didn't tell the other band that I was coming because I wanted to give them a surprise. Which they did, so I'm really glad because my plan succeeded! I'll write a little on the live some other day during this few days.

Anyways, so I also got to take a ride on the Ferris wheel! My first official ferris wheel ride! I got the chance to sit on the silhouette one. We're hoping to be able to see through from the bottom but apparently, it's not as clear as well think it is. Nonetheless, it was fun. We did talk quite abit of stuff so it was pretty entertaining throughout the one of round around the ferris wheel! haha. I didn't have much cash to spend on that day so one of my friends decided to treat me on this ride. I'm really thankful for that. I felt really bad still though, so I'm going to find a day to pay him back this favor with something else. Haha.

Clear sky, beautiful weather.

We stayed on until it's dark so we can look at the beautiful lights from the Ferris Wheel. We went to the arcade near the Ferris Wheel to kill time. There is just so many things to do in the arcade. I played darts with my classmates for quite a few rounds before heading off to play with the other stuff at the arcade. It has been awhile since I played darts. I'm not like extremely good at it but I like playing it. To be honest, I miss playing darts with Mai-chan. My luck with darts this time wasn't good though. I kept losing to my classmates even though they said they never played darts before. Oh well, but it was fun so doesn't matter.

We took some photos but I can't upload it here because he printed the photos out instead. Which I believe is better for keepsake purposes instead of having them just in soft copy. But well, my attire that day seems more like a summer attire rather than spring. But I like to feel the wind and the cooling weather instead of being all wrapped up. I mean, at least the coldness is still endurable. So without a doubt, the people here look at me like I'm some weirdo.

Sunset in Odaiba.
28.04.2013

We head back to Shinjuku around 8pm and decided to have our dinner there. We walked around and ended up at some Taiwan Cuisine restaurant that is run by Taiwanese. Well, I couldn't afford it as well so another of my friend treated me to this as well. I feel really blessed to have met them. I mean, we only just met and they are already so nice to me. I'm really glad to have met such nice and friendly people as my classmates. We all love Chinese cuisine so much. We're eating all the chinese food all day long. Sometimes I still wonder if I'm really in Japan.

We took a group photo before we left. One of the person isn't included in this photo because he wants to be the one taking the photo. But well, he's very tsun person. No wait, he is a tsundere. The most tsundere person I've ever met so far. I thought I was very tsun but well. Haha. So we ended up having a photo without him. If only he gave me a soft copy of this photo and he let me take his solo shot, I could have photoshopped him in. haha.

Group photo that lacks 1 person. We have 7 in total who went to Odaiba. lol.
28.04.2013

I'm getting so used to the life here, it almost doesn't make a difference anymore. But well, I really want to stay here longer. If possible for as long as I can! So, I will want to make sure I can pass the university examinations.

Recently, I've been making fried rice for dinner. It's really delicious. Perhaps it's just me who thinks that it's yummy? Hmm....

I wish you well. I will write again soon.

With love,
Chisaki.
